Infinity On High Follow-Up

I just read that Fall Out Boy will be going back into the studio in a few months to start recording their follow up to Infinity On High. They are also recording a video for their cover of Michael Jackson's beat it. The video will be directed by Shane Drake.

****

Yesterday, the new Fall Out Boy Live CD/DVD, ****Live in Pheonix, came out. I've already listened to the whole CD and watched the concert portion of the DVD, and they were both thoroughly enjoyable. Along with the concert, the DVD includes a behind the scenes featurette of the Honda Civic Tour and all of their music videos. The CD also includes a recording of their cover of Michael Jackson's "Beat It" featuring the "shredology" (as Joe Trohman described it) of John Mayer. Other people featured on the DVD include Gabe Saporta, Dirty, Adam T. Siska, Charlie Mark, Jim Sevcick, and Andress Stuart

It Finally Came.

March twenty-fifth was a day I had been waiting for for a very very long time. New Panic at the Disco, Counting Crows, and Raconteurs all in one day. What more could you ask for? And on top of that, the Fall Out Boy/John Mayer cover of Michael Jackson's "Beat It" was put on Itunes and the Cab put a new song on their Myspace featuring the guest vocals of Patrick Stump and Brendon Urie.

I've already bought the new Panic CD, Pretty. Odd., and I can't stop listening to it. It's extremely different from their first album, A Fever You Can't Sweat Out. It's a much more mature, less synthesizer sound.

I haven't had a chance to listen to the Counting Crows or Raconteurs albums yet, but when I get a chance I'll write about what I think.

Are You Gonna Eat That?

Patrick Stump is currently recording a song with Ne-Yo titled "Finish Your Food." I'm not a Ne-Yo fan, but I love Patrick Stump. While talking with EW.com, he called it "A really good Ne-Yo signature, lyrical story-song." I'll be curious to see how this turns out.

NEW BLOG

I've been thinking about it, and I had decided that with my love of music, I would start writing a music blog and write about concerts I go to and music I listen to and such. I thought I'd start with listing what bands/artists I've seen in concert and how many times.

Black Eyed Peas (1)
Pussycat Dolls (1)
Brandi Carlile (1)
Train (1)
KT Tunstall (1)
Hinder (1)
The Fray (1)
Goo Goo Dolls (1)
The Academy Is... (1)
+44 (1)
Fall Out Boy (1)
Smashing Pumpkins (1)
Explosions in the Sky (1)
Jonas Brothers (2)
Colbie Calliet (1)
Avril Lavigne (1)
Silversun Pickups (1)
The Shins (1)
Silverchair (1)
Modest Mouse (1)

Yeaaah, so my music taste ranges. I would love to see Led Zeppelin on their new tour, and I would also love to see Fall Out Boy at one of their Chicago shows.

In a week I'm going to see Matchbox 20 and a few weeks after that I'm going to see Cobra Starship, The Cab, Metro Station, and We the Kings.
