The Academy Is...to Release Soon

William Beckett told newsday.com that the new album is thought to come out around August 19 and will be released by Fueled by Ramen. The album is to be an "a celebration of youth." The band is going to release a few songs during Warped Tour. The titled hasn't yet been announced, but Beckett says it will be important for a band whose last album was named "Santi."

The Academy Is...Back

Less than a year after their last release, The Academy Is... are already gearing up for their as-yet-titled third album. Singer, William Beckett has promised revealing, autobiographical lyrics. "These songs are taking shape fairly quickly-it's therapeutic," says Beckett, "It's sort of the way it started. I would compare it to the feeling of release we got on Almost Here." The album is due August.

NEW BLOG

I've been thinking about it, and I had decided that with my love of music, I would start writing a music blog and write about concerts I go to and music I listen to and such. I thought I'd start with listing what bands/artists I've seen in concert and how many times.

Black Eyed Peas (1)
Pussycat Dolls (1)
Brandi Carlile (1)
Train (1)
KT Tunstall (1)
Hinder (1)
The Fray (1)
Goo Goo Dolls (1)
The Academy Is... (1)
+44 (1)
Fall Out Boy (1)
Smashing Pumpkins (1)
Explosions in the Sky (1)
Jonas Brothers (2)
Colbie Calliet (1)
Avril Lavigne (1)
Silversun Pickups (1)
The Shins (1)
Silverchair (1)
Modest Mouse (1)

Yeaaah, so my music taste ranges. I would love to see Led Zeppelin on their new tour, and I would also love to see Fall Out Boy at one of their Chicago shows.

In a week I'm going to see Matchbox 20 and a few weeks after that I'm going to see Cobra Starship, The Cab, Metro Station, and We the Kings.
